Date of Stay: Feb 3, 2016
We want to thank you for the great accommodations. The house worked out perfectly for our group of nine and was a great location! We were able to enjoy many parades!! It was a great 65th birthday celebration location!! We especially loved the courtyard!!!

Mike was very helpful and gave us many good pointers of things to do!!
Again thank you, and we will keep the Bouligny House in mind when we return to N'awlins!!

The experience was perfect!

Date of Stay: Feb 19, 2016
My sisters, mom and myself rented this house for a long weekend. From Mike being there to greet us upon our arrival until we left the experience was perfect! We rented the whole house so we had plenty of space. The outdoor courtyard is a wonderful place to get away. The property was exactly as shown, very clean and comfortable. Mike met us and let us in and he was friendly and helpful. Telling us great local places to go and letting us know he was close by if we needed anything! The house was located just 2 blocks away from the French Quarter and Frenchmans Street but the house was quiet. I would certainly recommend this house and I would stay here again!!

Above and beyond Expectations.

This property went above and beyond our expectations. Pictures do not do it justice. Spacious, clean and charming. Wonderful location. Amazing private courtyard. Large party of nine and we still had plenty of room! Would definitely suggest this to anyone looking for a home away from home.

This is a great house!

I visited NOLA to celebrate my sisters 40th. In total there were 7 of us and we had plenty of room in both the front and back apartments. The main kitchen is super spacious and well stocked. The place is definitely much more beautiful in person and the outdoor space is amazing and private. We had two cars and didn't have any problem with parking, however we did ask for a permit for parking right in front of the house. The location was perfect since it was two blocks to Frenchman St to the right and a few blocks to the French Quarter on the left. We walked everywhere and only took an Uber once after a late night when we ended up all the way down by Harrah's and just didn't feel like walking. Everything is so close, and we felt pretty safe walking around. Overall, it was a FANTASTIC home. I would definitely recommend to anyone I know and will probably be back later this year.

Beyond Expectations.

This is one amazing property! We were a party of four women and were quite comfortable. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Location was perfect for everything we did. Pat, the owner, was very easy to deal with and Mike, the property mgr, was quite helpful. We walked everywhere. Definitely check out the clubs on Frenchmen St - you won't find better music! The shopping was great on Royal. Char-broiled oysters at ACME are a must. Café Soule was another terrific eatery. We will definitely be back!

Better than advertised.

I rented the entire unit for 7 females for a bachelorette weekend and the photos do not do the house justice! This house and the backyard are beautiful and extremely well kept. There are so many little details and so much character. We had everything we needed, and enough bathrooms for 7 girls to share without issue. The house was spotless, the neighborhood was very safe (something we had been worried about prior to arriving) and everything in the French quarter is safely in walking distance. When we arrived, Mike met us at the house and showed us around and gave us tips and recommendations, he was extremely nice and helpful. I've rented many properties through vrbo and this by far is the best experience I've ever had. I can't say enough good things about this house and Mike! Thank you so much!!

LOVE THIS HOME!!!!

This was our third year staying at the Bouligny House and I hope we are able to stay there for many more years to come. The location is ideal as the neighborhood is quiet and yet a few short blocks away you can be on Frenchman St. and in the Quarter. The house itself is amazing. It is big, comfortable, beautiful, relaxed, easy to be there and the outdoor private garden is serene. Pat and Pam are wonderful to work with. I find them both to be honest, reliable and trustworthy. They are constantly improving the property and are committed to making our stay an enjoyable one. I am already looking forward to next years stay!

May 2013

We, a party of four adults, stayed here for a week in late May. The Bouligny House is not the place for people who demand "cookie cutter" rooms in a hotel with a grand lobby and immediate access to a McDonalds and a Pizza Hut. The Bouligny House is for the wayfarer and experienced traveler who seeks out what is unique. To that experienced traveler the house is a rare treat and an exceptional value.

The home is almost a century and a half old, and the exterior has been preserved in its heritage as a "cajun cottage". On the inside Pat Bouligny, the charming owner, has completely remodeled the entire facility. There are two bedrooms with comfortable queen beds and two bathrooms one of which has the old cast iron tub which is great for a soak esecially when accompanied by your favorite wine. There is a living room with a flat screen TV and wi-fi, a dining room, and a very well equipped modern kitchen. The backyard has been made over to a beautiful garden patio often visited by colorful butterflies and birds. We all enjoyed sitting there in the early evening with our favorite libation.

The immediate neighborhood is roughly two blocks from the French Quarter. Its lacks the Quarters noise and the unplesantries of rowdy drunks. Neighbors respect each other here and things are quiet after 10pm. People in the area are friendly and never miss a chance to reccomend places to visit. Within walking distance there is a sizable number of really good resturants which are less expensive and just as good as thier counterparts in the French Quarter. If you choose a local area tour we found that most companies would pick us up for no additional cost. Parking is a breeze and our car was never more than 50 feet away from the house. We all reccomend the Bouligny House without reservation and will be returning ourselves to this enchanting and delightful home.
